چکیده

Abstract. In this article, we formulate the generation of optomechanical entanglement between the linearly coupled cavity field and the mechanical resonator as an optimal control problem in hyperbolic space H, with control input the coupling rate of the two oscillators. Next, we use optimal control theory to find the allowed optimal values of the coupling which maximize the amount of generated entanglement for a fixed duration of the interaction. Finally, we employ a numerical optimization method to obtain the exact optimal pulse sequences for several illustrative examples. In the strong coupling regime, where the coupling rate is comparable or larger than the frequency of the mechanical resonator, a substantial amount of entanglement can be generated within a fraction of a single oscillator period.

Achieving ground state and enhancing optomechanical entanglement by recovering information

For cavity-assisted optomechanical cooling experiments, in order to achieve the quantum ground state of the mechanical oscillator, the cavity bandwidth needs to be smaller than the mechanical frequency. In the literature, this is the so-called resolved-sideband or good-cavity limit, and this is based on an understanding of optomechanical dynamics. We provide a different but physically equivalen...

Light-to-matter entanglement transfer in optomechanics

We analyze a scheme to entangle the movable mirrors of two spatially separated nanoresonators via a broadband squeezed light. We show that it is possible to transfer the Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen-type continuous-variable entanglement from the squeezed light to the mechanical motion of the movable mirrors. An optimal entanglement transfer is achieved when the nanoresonators are tuned at resonance ...

Enhanced entanglement of two optical modes in optomechanical systems via an optical parametric amplifier

We investigate the effect of a degenerate optical parametric amplifier (OPA) placed inside an optomechanical cavity on the steady-state entanglement of two cavity modes, which jointly interact with a mechanical resonator. Two cavity modes are respectively driven at the red and blue sideband associated with the mechanical resonator, which generates entanglement between them in the limit of resol...

Preservation Macroscopic Entanglement of Optomechanical Systems in non-Markovian Environment

We investigate dynamics of an optomechanical system under the non-Markovian environment. In the weak optomechanical single-photon coupling regime, we provide an analytical approach fully taking into account the non-Markovian memory effects. When the cavity-bath coupling strength crosses a certain threshold, an oscillating memory state for the classical cavity field is formed. Due to the existen...

Activating optomechanical entanglement

We propose an optomechanical setup where the activation of entanglement through the pre-availability of non-classical correlations can be demonstrated experimentally. We analyse the conditions under which the scheme is successful and relate them to the current experimental state of the art. The successful activation of entanglement embodies an interesting alternative to current settings for the...
